Water interruptions in some areas of East London
Please be advised that a private contractor working at BP Garage at Woolwash Road has damaged our 600mm diameter water trunk main from Umzonyana WTW to East London.
This will result into a significant reduction of water supply and low pressure to some East London areas.
The areas that may be severely affected Vincent, Beacon Bay, Buffalo Flats, Gonubie, Nompumelelo and Gompo.
Our maintenance team has gone out to assess and repair the damage but at this stage, we would like to advise residents to fill up their buckets and close off all taps.
Repairs might take longer than expected, kindly be patient while the City works hard on this.
