Buyers Buying Process


To be able to purchase at Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Fresh Produce Market, a buyer must apply for a quick coded buying card in our cubicles at the Market sales hall. The card will be utilized for all purchases at the market.

Issuing of Buyers Card

  • ID or Drivers Licence is required
  • Quick and easy
  • Each buyers card must be loaded with funds
  • Cash buyers must complete a deposit slip when loading money at the cashiers
  • No forms to be completed if using a bank card

After being issued with a buyers card and loading funds, the buyer goes on to buy from the 4 market agents who have their sales men on the floor
