PHELOPHEPA TRAIN IS IN TOWN
The Transnet Phelophepha healthcare train is in Buffalo City Metro for a week. Buffalo City Metro Executive Mayor Councillor Xola Pakati officially opened the train for services to be conducted.

The train will be stationed at the Mount Ruth train station near Mdantsane and is offering various services at no or minimal cost from 11 July - 15 July 2022.

The Phelophepa Train services include a healthcare clinic, eyecare clinic, dental clinic, and a counselling and psychology clinic.

Residents especially those who wish to test for HIV/AIDS, TB or Covid-19 are encouraged to take advantage of this and visit the train.

The Transnet Phelophepa Healthcare Train (Phelophepa’ is a Sotho and Venda word meaning ‘good, clean health’), boasts consulting rooms spacious enough to accommodate a patient, an escort, a nurse, and a clinical supervisor.

Residents are also advised to arrive early and bring a clinic card, including immunisation cards for children.
