BUFFALO CITY METRO LAUNCHES QONCE BUY-BACK CENTRE
Buffalo City Metro (BCM) together with Border Kei Chamber of Business (BKCOB) launched the Qonce Buy-Back Centre on Friday 02 June 2023.

Giving the purpose of the day GM: Solid Waste Nomphelo Daniel said the Qonce Buy-Back Centre is a recycling programme organised through the City’s Integrated Waste Management Plan (IWMP).

“We are here today to open the Qonce Buyback Centre. The Centre is an output of one of our programmes in our department, the IWMP which seek to guide us in improving service delivery in terms of waste management and also in conducting programs that looks at recycling which have positive spinoffs in the community.”

Acting Executive Mayor on the day Cllr Yomelela Tyali reiterated on the economic spinoffs the Centre will bring for the community and for BCM at large. The launch took place in Qonce.
