City handed over food parcels to Parkridge Fire Victims
Buffalo City Metro together with Transnet handed over food parcels to about 50 households who were victims of a devastating blaze in July.

This initiative started in July after these households were left destitute after a raging fire destroyed about 40 shacks and three houses in Parkridge.
Portfolio Head of Economic Development & Agencies Cllr Mzwandile Vaaibom and Transnet Corporate Affairs Manager Terry Taylor officiated the proceedings at Transnet Engineering and Maintenance building in East London
The third and last event took place on Wednesday 16 September.
