JOINT CLEANUP OPERATIONS AND WASTE AWERENESS DRIVES
Buffalo City Metro together with partners from the private sector, conducted a cleanup operation within the East London Central Business District (CBD) over the weekend.

he Metro has implored businesses and establishments to cooperate with Call-2-Action in the waste management awareness drive and adopt a street and pavement campaign.

The campaign was launched in various areas, with the City requesting participation from local businesses to achieve a clean and healthy environment.

The initiative aimed to encourage voluntary participation from businesses and establishments in providing street cleaning services in their areas of operation.

Several establishments, associations and body corporates were identified to participate in the initiative.

Participants were required to sign an agreement with the City to improve cleanliness levels and maintain their pavements, shop fronts, and streets.

Buffalo City Metro ensured support and engagement to make the initiative structured and sustainable.
