INVESTING INTO THE FUTURE THROUGH EDUCATION
On Tuesday,22 August, the Buffalo City Metro together with Liberty Life visited Ulwazi High School to handover study packs, mattresses and motivate Grade 12 learners of Ulwazi High School.

Addressing the gathering, Buffalo City Metro Executive Mayor Councillor Princess Faku said: “Back in January 2023, we pledged our unwavering commitment to support Ulwazi High School. Our promise was not merely about maintaining the commendable results the school has achieved but to push beyond, propelling the students to even greater heights of academic excellence. Today, I stand here immensely proud of the strides we've taken since then.”

“I wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Liberty Group for collaborating with us in supporting the government Apex Programme. Education is a collective responsibility, and in this spirit, it is heartening to witness private entities like Liberty joining hands with us to uplift our learners. Our partnership exemplifies the idea that education is not just the duty of the schools and teachers, but a commitment that transcends boundaries.”

“Today's partnership with Liberty Group, marked by the donation of 50 mattresses, is a step in this direction. In harmony with our commitment, we, as Buffalo City Metro, have also provided 250 exam care packages, ensuring that no learner is hindered by their economic background.”

The visit took place on Tuesday 22 August 2023 at Ulwazi High School in Mdantsane
