TOURISM AWARENESS DAY

Highlighting the importance of the awareness Senior Manager Destination Marketing and Information Services Thandiswa George said, ”Our responsibility as a department is to constantly educate citizens of Buffalo City especially the youth about the various opportunities that the Municipality offers.”

“Many of you might not be aware but we provide trainings for different sectors within tourism, we want individuals and groups who have ideas but need assistance from us to execute their ideas and plans.”

George also went on to ass that the Kiwane Resort is also another pride of the Metro that has contributed greatly into opening doors for many young people in the City especially through skills development and job creation.

The awareness was greatly received in both wards as residents came out in great numbers and participated in question-and-answer session as well as a display of their work.
