Mr Akhona Matyobeni has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree from the University of Fort Hare. He also has Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Accounting from the University of South Africa and a certificate in Municipal Finance Management from the Wits Business School. Before joining the Fresh Produce Market, he worked in various departments which include Supply Chain Management, Budget Office and Asset & Risk Department.
His 15 years’ experience in local government is coupled with trainings in Applied Risk Identification and Assessment from the National School of Government, Project Management and Generally Recognised Accounting Practices from the University of Fort Hare School of Public Management and Development, High Performance Leadership from the ToastMasters International.
