Members of the Media, you are kindly invited to witness the lifeguard training exercise of the Buffalo City Metro Beaches Lifeguards.
Buffalo City Metro’s different role players in rescue operations have their preparations put in place for the Festive Season 2019. This is to manage the influx of public to the various Beaches and Amenities around the Metro.
The purpose of this training is to familiarize themselves with how each section work and this will assist should any emergencies occur.
The role players, Disaster Management, Law Enforcement, Fire, Police Life-saving, Ambulance services and NSRI will be part of the Joint Operations Centre (JOC) from the 23rd of December until the 2nd of January 2020.
Plans for this year’s Festive season safety include having people in various rescue operations on standby, Lifeguards in all the BCM beaches and drones to monitor crowds in the beaches.
